Xavier University, in collaboration with the Orleans Parish Public and Private Schools, is conducting research to prevent violence and resolve conflict among students at various middle and high schools.   The project includes analyses of schools suspensions and expulsions, as well as evaluations of classroom management styles and school-based approaches to conflict resolutions.  Another goal is to identify and replicate successful conflict mediation and resolution models, which use public school personnel, students, and parents.
