CFDA Search - The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) is a government-wide compendium of Federal Programs, projects, services and activities that provide assistance or benefits to the American public. It contains financial and non-financial assistance programs administered by departments and establishments of the Federal government.

LaSMARTS/LaGENIUS

LaSMARTS/LaGENIUS is a Louisiana Faculty Expertise Database Funding Opportunities Search/Alert System.

    LaGENUS is a World Wide Web database of university expertise to which you can add your personal profile.  It is open to search by universities, local government and business.

    LaSMARTS is part of LaGENUS and e-mails you relevant funding opportunities as they are published based on your personal interest profile.

Both LaSMARTS/LaGENUS use SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network), a comprehensive database of federal and foundation funding opportunities, to create the perfect match.

The Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS)

IRIS is a database that contains records on over 7,700 federal and non-federal funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities.

In addition to the database of funding opportunities in the sciences, IRIS also offers IRIS Alert Service and IRIS Expertise Service.

Use the Alert Service to create personal search profiles and receive e-mail alerts when a match is created. Faculty and staff are encouraged to use the Expertise Service to create detailed electronic biosketches for viewing by colleagues at other institutions, program officers at funding agencies and potential collaborators.

The Grant Advisor Plus On-Line

Since 1983,  The Grant Advisor newsletter has been a leading source of information on grant and fellowship opportunities for U.S. institutions of higher education and their faculty. Now, with on-line service The Grant Advisor Plus, it has been expanded to provide the information on these funding opportunities via the World-Wide Web.

MOLIS - Minority On-Line Information Service provides information on minority institutions and minority targeted opportunities.

ScienceWise.com - provides information on research opportunities in science and engineering, scholarship, career development and also has a Small Business Center and a Marketplace to find a variety of products and services.

SPIN - Sponsored Programs Information Network  -- After accessing the web site, click Access Info.Office, click InfoSearch, click SPIN, highlight USA and click GO.  There are Help instructions in the upper left hand corner of the screen which explain each searchable field and how to best utilize it.
