Important letter from the Dean of Freshman Studies

Greetings to all new freshmen,

Welcome to the Xavier family!  I look forward to having you here in the fall, beginning your journey toward earning a Xavier degree.

As the Dean of Freshman Studies it's important to me that you get the most out of your time at XU.  I know what Xavier has to offer you, but I really want to know what you think about your upcoming experiences here.  As a result, I am asking for your participation in an important survey.

The Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement or BCSSE (pronounced "Bessie") will provide me and other administrators with information directly from you - our new students - to help us improve our curriculum and general campus life.  During your first week or so of classes, an email will be sent to your Xavier email address.  Within the email will be a link to complete the BCSSE online survey. Students who participate in this survey will be included in drawings for prizes. Please be on the lookout for this email and take a few minutes to complete the survey.
