Note: Laptop (Notebook) computers are preferred for dormitory use. Notebook computers occupy a lot less desktop space and are easier to pack and transport. For example, the HP Pavillion zv5000z and the Dell Inspiron 1150 are good choices. Make sure you add the 3-year extended warranty option on any new computer purchase. Also, consider purchasing a copy the Office 2003 Suite Basic edition.
