During the formal orientation students are introduced to the summer school faculty and other students. During a short meeting Faculty, staff and advanced students review the mission, community spirit and academic expectations of the summer session. Orientation concludes with an opening Eucharistic Liturgy of the Holy Spirit followed by a reception.

Institute Formation Program

The formation program was created to address the needs and interest of ministerial students for personal, spiritual and professional development. All students at the Institute are required to participate in the formation program. It consists of communal liturgical experiences of daily Morning Prayer and Eucharist liturgy. In addition all students are required to participate once a week in the Wednesday evening Theological Reflection Groups. The aim is to help students integrate what is learned in the classroom with their own life and faith experience in the context of their ministry as well as to develop theological and spiritual reflective tools.
