Biography

Although this is her first year at Xavier, Dr. Hembree has been teaching for a number of years at the elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Her educational experience includes classroom teaching, teacher professional development, and school improvement initiatives. Areas of interest involve literacy instruction and curriculum integration. As such, she teaches the foundations of literacy class, diagnostic and prescriptive reading, content area reading, and the reading practicum.
