The postgraduate one year residency in ambulatory care includes training in internal medicine,
family practice, and medical subspecialties, including neurology, cardiology, endocrinology,
anticoagulation, pulmonology, infectious disease, hematology/oncology, HIV/AIDS and women's
health. The primary emphasis of this residency will be placed upon the development of clinical
practice skills that can be applied to pharmacist-managed, interdisciplinary, or managed care
team approaches to patient care. Opportunities will also be available for the resident to participate
in outcomes research in collaboration with the Center for Minority Health & Health Disparities and
the Tulane-Xavier National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health (TUXCOE.)
